I'd drive it.
And I actually like the connected grille-headlight thing.
The interior, I really like how the interior looks.
The nav screen doesn't look tacked on!!
'Tis expensive though.

Yay! No vinyl seats.

Apparently BMW's SensaTec is pretty decent, but still no excuse for the real thing.

BMW Dakota Leather isn't great. The Sensatec is in many cases, better. Which is why I spec'd it.

Sensatec>Dakota Leather. Just search the internet if you don't believe me.

Macan bro.

Yeah, I'm pretty sure that I've sat in a BMW with SensaTec.
But in a $54,000 BMW X5 I'd expect real leather.

What about Nevada leather?
I'll take it Dakota isn't very high quality.
![]() 07/27/2014 at 17:33 |

Macan with no options whatsoever bro.

+1 sensatec is IMO better than Dakota leather.

Needs more AWD.

The left side of the dashboard is all fun and business and movement and activities. The right side is just a sad vent that didn't get invited.

Eh, I prefer RWD.

It gets a nice piece of wood to keep it company.

nevada is slightly a step up, but by no means the nappa or semi-analine leather spec'd in the 7, a8, or S-class.
![]() 07/27/2014 at 17:42 |
|
In most things, so do I. But you don't want to try and drive a RWD SUV in the snow. Remember what happened to the entire city of Atlanta?
![]() 07/27/2014 at 17:43 |

Yes I get that and I'm saying, for pretty much every foreign luxury manufacturer, leather isn't standard on anything under 75k.

Good to know, save the $1,500 and get SensaTec.

I too like a rebadge.
![]() 07/27/2014 at 17:44 |

In my opinion, I think it should be. I'm also guessing that Sensa Tec is easier to clean, and wouldn't wear as strangely as leather does.

That's because probably 99% of them had never experience snow driving.
Plus snow tires bro.

honestly, in all the cars I've ever been in, Ive preferred the vinyl seats to the leather seats. My dad has a 2010 E350 4matic sport, thats got black MB-Tex interior. When I was home last, the interior looks brand new despite the car being 4 years old. When I get in the cars of my friends who have similar vintage leather interiors, they always look beat up or worn.

I'd rather wait for the X4 or get an X6.
![]() 07/27/2014 at 17:53 |

X4... *gag*
![]() 07/27/2014 at 17:58 |

I've driven a RWD pickup in the snow for the last 15 years.
![]() 07/27/2014 at 17:58 |

Isn't the only difference between the X4 and the X3 the looks, anyway?
I can't stand the X3's appearance.

It's going to drive much better though.
That's all I care about,
BRO

At least it looks awesome!
![]() 07/27/2014 at 18:13 |

On a RWD car yes. On an RWD SUV, still a handful.
![]() 07/27/2014 at 18:14 |

My dad had a RWD F-150 as a company truck once. Even w/ snow tires and 500lbs of sand in the bed, it still wouldn't go up our hill in more than 2" of snow.

Well, considering that there is no X3M (yet), I would imagine it would.

The rear of the Macan is horrible. Absolutely horrible.

I disagree. I disagree SO much.

shocking. I expeced as much given that front license plate mount/rear license plate frame, you've shown us ;-)

I suppose it makes a difference if the road or driveway is plowed. 4WD or not, no-one I know would drive up a steep driveway before they shovelled it.
300 lbs of sand bags & All-Terrains have taken me through multiple Canadian Rocky blizzards without drama.

Our driveway was plowed, but the steep road we live on was not. City takes its sweet time plowing us out.
